VA Chapter National Wrestling Hall of Fame, 20th Anniversary Banquet

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Virginia Chapter, cordially invites you to attend our Induction Banquet on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at The Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center in Glen Allen. VA.  The banquet begins with a cash bar reception at 4:30 p.m. followed by dinner and the awards ceremony at 6:00 p.m.

We are very proud to present the following distinguished candidates for induction into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  Our inductees for the Lifetime Achievement Award are:  Ken Berger, Steve Crocker, Kevin Dresser, Sid Savoy, Don Shuler and Dave Sisson.  This year the chapter will be awarding the Outstanding American Award to Joseph Schmitz.

These individuals are being honored for their inspirational leadership and dedication to the oldest and greatest sport, WRESTLING.  Each in his own special way has committed time, energy, and personal sacrifice for the betterment of America through Wrestling.

In addition, the Virginia Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame is recognizing four student-athletes for the J.D.” Red Robertson” Student Athlete of the Year : Robert Janis from St. Christopher’s School, Casey Paglia from Northampton High School, Zack Epperly from Christiansburg High School, and  Beau Donahue from Westfield High School. The “Billy Martin, Sr. Coach of the Year” recipient will be Seth Cameron from Forest Park High School and the “Pat McCormick Official of the Year” will be Chris Giles from the Central Wrestling Officials Association.

If you need hotel accommodations they are available at The Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel.   The cost is $104.00 per night + tax. When making a reservation, let the hotel know you are with the VA Chapter wrestling event.
