Hampden-Sydney to Add Wrestling as Tenth NCAA Sport in 2015-16

120th new intercollegiate wrestling team that has been established or re-established since 2001.

On January 14, 2015, Hampden-Sydney College (HSC) announced that they will re-establish their wrestling program as a Division III program in 2015-16.  This noteworthy accomplishment was a joint effort between Mike Moyer the Executive Director of the National Wrestling Coaches Association and HSC president Dr. Christopher Howard and HSC athletic director Richard Epperson.

About Dr. Howard: "Dr. Howard is a distinguished graduate of the US Air Force Academy, where he earned a BS in political science. A Rhodes Scholar, he earned his Doctorate in politics at Oxford University and an MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School.
