Wrestlers who have Freestyle and Greco Roman experience, Team Virginia is building a national level team to compete in the Schoolboy nationals being held June 18-22nd in Indianapolis.

We are looking to build the best competitive team from across all of Virginia. This is a highly competitive National tournament so if you have the experience and are looking to represent Virginia this year please contact Derek Donahue and Rich Pollack.

If you are interested please plan on attending the VA State Freestyle and Greco Championships May 3rd in Hopewell Virginia. If you cannot attend this meet but are still interested please contact us.

Team Virginia Places 3rd at the McDonogh Duals

On February 2nd, Coaches Larry Allen (Virginia Predators) and Sam Smith (Virginia Bandits) led a very strong group of Virginia middle and elementary school wrestlers to a strong 3rd place finish in the McDonough Duals--one of the most challenging middle school dual meet tournaments in the country each year. The meet featured some of the toughest club teams on the east coast—from Georgia to New England.

Team Virginia had representation from most of Virginia’s elite clubs, with the Bandits and Team Predators contributing a total of nine wrestlers. In addition, five young men went undefeated: Logan Harvich, Andrew Atkinson, Brendan Jeske, Jacob Crawford, and Cody Allala.

In the first round of preliminary pool action, Team Virginia beat Pascack Hill (NJ) 38 to 24—winning 11 of 17 individual matches. Second round, Team Virginia beat a very strong team from Georgia, The Wrestling Center 72 to 8.

In the finals round, Team Virginia lost a very close match to Rob Waller’s All American Wrestling Club (PA) 34 to 28. This meet was extremely exciting with Team Virginia winning 7 matches.

In the third place match, Team Virginia beat a very strong New Jersey Lightning team (representing South Jersey)—40 to 30. Team Virginia won 9 of 17 matches.
