Wrestling Rules Changes Announced for 2008-09May 2,, 2008
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Wrestling Rules Committee emphasized risk minimization and standardized procedures to assist both coaches and referees through 16 wrestling rules changes for the 2008-09 school year.
Rules changes were made by the committee at its April 5-7 meeting in Indianapolis and subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors. To view a summary of all the changes click here.

2008 Virginia Duals
Congratulations to Christiansburg for winning the 2008 Virginia Duals National Division. They topped Eastern Regional, NJ 34-20 in the finals.
Also, Grundy defeated Canon McMillan in the finals of the American Division 34-25.
Western Branch also walked away with a championship, as they defeated Hampton 41-21 in the finals of the Black and Blue Division.

January 7th, 2008
Congratulations to Langley for their 3rd place finish in the Lone Star Duals held January 4th and 5th in Dallas, TX. Bishop Lynch TX was crowned champions followed by Alamosa, CO. Langley topped Sapulpa, OK 42-31 for the consolation finals. For all the pool results and final brackets click here.

January 7th, 2008
Congratulations to Colonial Forge for their 2nd place finish at the Battlefield Duals. McDonogh, MD finished out the tournament as champions. Christiansburg was the other VA team in the final pool as they finished in 5th place. AI duPont Tiger Classic
Congratulations to the Virginia Teams that competed over the holiday break in Wilmington, DE. Langley finished 3rd, followed by Mountain View 13th, Hanover 14th, Forest Park 18th, Hopewell 19th, and West Springfield 22nd. For brackets and team results click here.
POWERade Christmas Tournament
Congratulations to Colonial Forge for their 2nd Place finish. Other Virginia Teams: - Christiansburg finished 4th, with Fauquier picking up 17th. Results can be found here.
Tiger Holiday Classic in NC
