USA Wrestling Memorandum
October 7, 2008


USA Wrestling is excited about the upcoming wrestling season. With another year, comes renewed effort and enthusiasm toward making 2009 a banner year for USA Wrestling national and state events. With the economy looking grim USA Wrestling must step up our efforts of recruitment and marketing in order to achieve this success.

In an effort to market USA Wrestling Kids regional’s to our full potential, USA Wrestling would appreciate you reserving the date and time for your Kids Regional call. We are having the calls earlier this year so that we can begin marketing these events sooner. Hopefully this should provide less time conflicts, since it is prior to the start of most wrestling practices.

Become a VAWA National Team Coach

In order to be selected to the VAWA Coaching staff, the following criteria must be met:

• Apply to be in the VAWA coaches pool (online application)
• Have at least USA Wrestling Bonze level certification
• Volunteer time to at least one of the VAWA state tournaments
• Attend a VAWA national team training camp
• Attend the VAWA fall meeting and/or the VAWA summit
