Please share this with everyone wrestling person you know.
Per the VHSL April minutes:
E. Timeline and Legislation:
May 3 Executive Committee will take second-vote on the legislation in regard to using
March 31 ADM figures for classification purposes.
August 8 R&R Committee meets to align districts based on the March 31, 2012 ADM
figures.
September 11 R&R Committee meets to hear appeals
to the August 8 R&R 2013-14 and 2014-
15 Alignment Plan and present final recommended plan to VHSL Executive
Committee.
September 19* Executive Committee meets; reviews any final appeals of the September 11 plan
and approves plan; votes on emergency legislation in regard to the six classes.October 16
October Meetings: The Group A, AA and AAA Boards will meet first, followed by
the six classes meeting in 12 regions (6A North, 6A South; 5A North, 5A South;
4A North, 4A South; 3A North, 3A South; 2A East, 2A West; 1A East, 1A West)
ending with the Membership Meeting. If the September Executive Committee votes to implement six classes, a
majority vote of any group board can request that the membership review any
legislative amendment; it would take 2/3 of the schools in attendance and
voting to overturn the Executive Committee’s decision at the Membership
Meeting. We need to get everyone on board prior to September 11th and 19th .

Great job. Thanks for your contributions to Virginia wrestling. Between the administrative contributions, tournaments, and insight you provide, Virginia wrestling is fortunate to have you.

Yes many thanks to Coach Keel and the others for putting this proposal together. While having 6 champions in a state this size is ridiculous, this proposal makes the best of the situation we are in. I urge all coaches to take action, along with your AD's and principals, to influence the VHSL committee to accept this proposal. Or else, we end up with 8 man brackets at state. Some deserving kids will not be at the state tournament which will reduce participation. I can't think of a faster way to reduce our numbers than to tell a young high school kid his chances of making the state tournament just got cut in half. When participation numbers drop, schools will be quicker to drop programs in the future given the dire financial landscape they will be operating in.

Yeah Thanks Coach Keel for giving us a fight... What a shame it would be!

Parents: Make a copy of the proposal linked above and share it with your school's AD. Let him know how it would benefit your child and your team.

OK, the VHSL has posted there playoff plan for each sport. It reflects what I was told was coming down the pike. Wrestling wordage is not completely understandable...
